But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.

The Joe Ferguson Stepper’s Club would like to express our love and deepest sympathy to the Sawyer family in the loss of our stepper sister, Cynthia Gale Sawyer.  We know you loved her very much as we did.  We would like you to know that there is no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

We all experienced Gale’s tremendous capacity to love, ability to inspire, and the expansiveness of her love for stepping. With so many close friends and family members experiencing the journey through her illness, she chose to continue to do what she loved until the end of her life. I believe Gale would appreciate and even encourage us to be joyful about her transition because she now has complete peace and is pain free.  Gale’s story has not ended simply because she is no longer here in a body that is familiar to family and friends. She touched many of us on her journey and she gave us a special honor to be present to witness and participate with her in her last dance.

We want to charge the entire family to just trust in God and believe in Him, and throughout all of the sadness, he will strengthen you.  Remember, God dispatches angels to help wipe our tears away.  We accept and acknowledge that God has taken another angel home.  We trust and believe that God never makes a mistake when he chooses the “Best of the Best”.  Gale was a strong and spiritual warrior, which only means that God needed another soldier in His Army.  So don’t be weary, but REJOICE!  God has given her a crown of life, and she is NOW "Stepping" in Glory! 

Let is be resolved that this resolution dated February 26, 2010 be presented to the Sawyer Family.  May God keep you and give you peace and comfort.
